Ed Obuchowski
As Chief Technology Officer at Osaic, one of the nation's largest providers of wealth management solutions, Ed is accountable for Infrastructure, Infrastructure Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Workplace Technology, Cybersecurity, as well as Application Development and Innovation, serving over 11,000 advisors and approximately 2,500 employees.
Career summary
Prior to joining Osaic, Ed was the SVP of Advisor Services Technology Solutions at Charles Schwab where he managed the portfolio technology platforms used by the 7,000+ RIAs that custody with Schwab. Ed also held other leadership roles at Schwab, including SVP of Technology Infrastructure Services (TIS) and SVP of Investor Services Technology. Before then, Ed was part of the Active Trader brokerage and technology firm CyberCorp (renamed CyberTrader), which was acquired by Charles Schwab in March 2000.
Ed earned his bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. He has also completed the General Management Executive program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He holds the following FINRA certifications: Series 7, 63, 24, 55, 4, 3, and 99 licenses. Ed is also a former flight instructor and charter pilot. He holds aviation licenses for Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine, CFI, and CFII.
