Philip Blancato
Philip Blancato is Chief Market Strategist at Osaic, President and CEO of Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management, and Chairman of the Ladenburg Investment Policy Committee.
Career Summary
Philip brings 36 years of financial services experience, specializing in portfolio and risk management, asset allocation, macroeconomic theory, and fee-based platform development. He previously served as Managing Director of Advisory Services at PowellJohnson, leading the creation of a suite of fee-based platforms. Before that, he held several roles within Prudential Securities’ Investment Management Services, ultimately becoming First Vice President and Director of Portfolio Management Programs, where he helped grow the division to manage more than $16 billion in assets.
Philip regularly appears in national media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, CNBC, and Fox Business, and speaks at industry events. He was also named Chief Investment Officer of the year in 2025 from ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Awards.
He has a B.S. in Finance from Kean University and a Marketing Continuing Education degree from New York University. Philip is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary and has completed the Securities Industry Association accredited program at Wharton Business School.
