Supporting our volunteers, and our communities
Many of us have been greatly moved by the striking images of the multi-state destruction left behind by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton. The damage has been wide-reaching and catastrophic. In addition to those of you in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, we know we have many other employees and advisors in the damaged area that encompasses several states.
The Osaic Foundation Disaster Response Team, comprised of 20 advisors and employees nationwide, has remained in constant contact to strategize how best to respond. Based on the outcomes of those conversations, the Foundation has committed to significant contributions to numerous organizations on behalf of our employees and advisors who share their time and expertise in relief efforts. So far, this includes a $10,000 grant to the Red Cross, and $2,500 grants to the Salvation Army, Feeding America, and World Central Kitchen.

We are also contacting employees and advisors who have been active volunteers at charities in the impacted regions. Those who are planning or already engaged in hands-on volunteer relief efforts in the weeks ahead are encouraged to contact the Osaic Foundation for potential eligibility for a special Q4 grant to support their charity’s outreach. The grant requests can be in recognition of their individual- or team-based volunteer efforts, understanding that these efforts can only begin after the initial danger from the damage has subsided.
If you are not already involved in or planning a volunteer relief effort, we recommend the organizations and resources below for you to consider if you want to help, keeping in mind that only FEMA, the National Guard, utility companies, and other well-equipped state and local first responder teams can enter the most-stricken areas.

Preparation matters
Finally, these disasters once again highlight the need to be prepared. We highly recommend ready.gov as a planning resource for your family’s safety in disaster and emergency situations.
