Osaic makes strategic majority investment in succession-focused $700m Innovative Wealth Team

Expanded partnership marks major step in Osaic’s plan to offer succession planning solutions to advisors approaching retirement

SCOTTSDALE, AZ July 23, 2025Osaic, Inc. (“Osaic”), one of the nation’s largest providers of wealth management solutions, announced today that it has acquired a majority interest in Innovative Wealth Team (“Innovative Wealth”). The partnership marks a significant step in Osaic’s continued efforts to provide capital and infrastructure for advisors seeking succession and continuity solutions.

Through the partnership, Osaic adds another key offering for independent advisors: a turnkey succession and continuity partner. This enables advisors to realize the full value of their business while ensuring that the team taking over has the expertise and experience to serve their clients and uphold their legacy. Accounts and custodians will remain unchanged, ensuring a seamless client experience.

“This partnership exemplifies our commitment to investing in the future of wealth management by offering flexible, scalable solutions for advisors at every stage of their journey, while ensuring their clients are cared for across generations” said Jamie Price, President and CEO of Osaic. “The Innovative Wealth Team enhances our supported independence model, helping advisors operate more efficiently, access capital, and eventually transition their practices smoothly.”

Initially founded by Brian Heapps, Innovative Wealth provides advisors nearing retirement with a seamless succession planning process and ensures clients receive personalized, high-quality advice on their terms.

This is the latest milestone in Osaic’s broader strategy to develop its supported independence model, launched under Osaic Advisors in 2023. With more than $124 trillion in cumulative assets expected to transfer generationally by 2048, and more than one-third of financial advisors nearing retirement, Osaic is addressing a pressing need for continuity, succession and advisor support.

The initiative is part of Osaic’s broader capital strategy, designed to meet the evolving needs of advisors and their clients. As more advisors approach retirement and the industry prepares for an unprecedented transfer of wealth, Osaic is positioning itself as a long-term partner for advisor success.

The announcement follows Osaic’s acquisition of Boston-based CW Advisors, a $13.5 billion RIA, expanding access to long-term capital and comprehensive wealth solutions while strengthening Osaic Advisors’ supported independence model.

Earlier this year, Osaic added Payant Wealth Management Group to this model and remains open to conversations with other advisors interested in capital support for growth, succession planning or transitioning into an supported independence environment.
