Empowering you to thrive
Valued Partners: Happy 2024!
As we embark on a bold new year, I am grateful for your partnership and thankful for the opportunity to serve you.
Our priority is ensuring you know and feel connected to your partners at all levels across Osaic, especially following the departure of Jim Nagengast. As I’ve had the opportunity to hear from many of you, and in my past role as CEO of KMS, I understand the feelings of uncertainty. One thing that has guided me through change in the past was embracing opportunities to meet new leaders and team members.

Empowering you to thrive in 2024 and beyond
As a firm, we’re aligned with the four strategic pillars that Greg Cornick shared at ConnectED and reviewed in his latest video update. I’ll dive into each of these pillars in more detail in February.
- Accelerating enterprise value, which is all about helping you make your business more valuable.
- Transforming the digital journey, including rolling out OneHub and other impressive digital capabilities that free up more time for you to spend with your clients.
- Striving for a frictionless experience and making it as easy as possible for you to do business as an Osaic partner.
- Cultivating the power of community by bringing the full power of our network of 10,500+ affiliated Financial Professionals together.
Your Journey to Osaic
Also in February, you’ll hear from CEO Jamie Price on the many strategic priorities we’ve set for the year ahead in support of you and your business, including the timeline by which Securities America will transition to Osaic. Our teams have fully mapped out and are thoughtfully preparing a transition experience that acknowledges your needs.
- Beginning in February, you and your teams will be invited to trainings and other opportunities to deep dive into Osaic’s digital experience.
- After tax season, we’ll engage with you even further to help you prepare for the transition.
- Minimal disruption to your business and client. We share this goal with you. This includes no repapering.
- A prioritized focus on providing you with a guided experience thatsupport your experience.
- Ongoing, clear communications throughout your transition and beyond.
- Webinars and training options, offered via live, on-demand, and in-person opportunities.

Welcome your peers & make new connections
370 of your advisor peers joined the Osaic community in 2023. Those first few months of a transition are busy in a way that only advisors who’ve gone through it can really understand. As we continue to embark on ways to make it easy for you to connect with your colleagues across the country, there’s an easy digital way for you to discover and meet the new advisors joining Osaic.
First, following Osaic on LinkedIn. We’ve ramped up our social media activity and specifically highlight the good work and community impact of you and your peers.
Second, Kristen Kimmell now publishes a monthly digest of our recruiting activity. The “Osaic Recruiting Roundup” gives you quick connection to new partnerships with links to their LinkedIn profiles and bios so you can reach out and say hello. Give Kristen a follow and you’ll see those monthly roundups in your newsfeed automatically!
Third, at our three national events, all “first-time attendees” are called out with special identifiers so you can easily spot each other. It’s a tradition we started several years ago, and it’s one of our favorite ways to welcome and recognize those new advisors to the Osaic community. Check out all the 2024 dates.

I was thrilled by the opportunity to join Osaic for a lot of reasons, but mainly because of the people and where the firm was on its growth journey. The opportunity to interact with and shape a positive, collaborative client experience for Osaic independent advisors—and the employees I work alongside every day—was and continues to be a passion of mine. Delivering an optimal client experience is at the core of my being. I love to serve people.
And, candidly, as I got to know Erinn [Ford] during the interview process, she, too, was influential to my decision to join Osaic. I was looking to continue my career journey with an inspiring leader who has vision, is committed to excellence in client experience, and creates a culture of collaboration. Her authentic character and heart embody that.
I’ve been fortunate to spend a lot of time thus far with financial professionals and large enterprise leaders, and I’ve been thoughtful while still learning to be an active listener to our clients’ desire for more and more communication. I’ve observed some trepidation and reluctance to change as future transitions are considered, but as I dug deeper, I’ve realized it’s perhaps due to not enough communication that highlights the many ways we’re actively working on solutions in support of advisors’ businesses. In addition, I find it’s important to discuss the firm’s strength and our readiness to help prepare them for upcoming change, and create more excitement around that given the breadth of what we have to offer both now and in the future! To me, overcommunication is key and helps people through change of any kind. Keeping our financial professionals front and center is something we’ll continue to prioritize.
To be a strong communicator, you must be a strong active listener first. For those clients who’ve been vulnerable enough to share trepidation, which I completely respect, it’s about reinforcing with them what I’ve heard, and then either helping them understand where they may not have received enough information, or how we as a team can further create an optimal client experience.
I also take seriously the responsibility of proactively sharing the strategic efforts underway that directly support our advisors’ businesses and will position them for growth and enable them to run their businesses the way they want to because they have an industry-leading partner in Osaic. I’m built on clients first and hopefully that comes through in a leadership style that embraces accountability, authenticity, and excellence in delivery.
A lot of people who have contributed to my personal and professional growth. First and foremost is my mother. She’s my greatest mentor. She was a working single mom who raised me and my two brothers, and she’s the most resilient person I’ve ever met despite what she’s been through. She embodies character, integrity, and a strong work ethic. She also taught me the power of mindset - to always focus on what I can control and how I can make a meaningful impact. How I treat and serve others with respect, commitment, compassion, and empathy is always in my control and, like I mentioned when we first started talking, it is core to who I am. I couldn’t be more grateful to serve our clients and my team, as part of #TeamOsaic.
Community Impact: You & Osaic
With the launch of Osaic and the Journey to One transition, we wanted to provide opportunities for Osaic employees and financial professionals to connect to each other and their communities. It was an incredible success and wonderful way to celebrate coming together under one common commitment to partnership for growth.
The Osaic Foundation has launched and is making inroads across America. It’s funded solely by Osaic and does not accept any external or individual donations. Its mission is to empower lives through experiential events that build thriving communities, education support that enriches financial literacy, and workforce development that increases diverse representation. It prioritizes hands-on, grant-supported volunteerism in communities where Osaic's employees and affiliated financial professionals live and work.

Harnessing feedback from our community to deliver an industry-leading service experience
At Osaic, we use the valuable qualitative and quantitative insights from our robust community to ensure we’re delivering you an industry-leading service experience.
Last year, we implemented a series of feedback surveys designed to capture your thoughts on specific interactions and overall satisfaction with our firm. Looking ahead to 2024, we eagerly anticipate introducing additional methods to gather your valuable input.
Occasionally, you may also receive surveys from outside organizations, such as J.D. Power. Since we do not have access to specific feedback shared with these third parties, we strongly encourage you to prioritize participation in Osaic’s surveys. The guidance you share directly with Osaic goes straight to our management team, enabling us to refine and develop processes that enhance your overall experience.
If you do participate in third-party surveys, it’s important to note that the overall results are often disclosed publicly and can hold weight with your clients, financial professionals who may join your firm, and the public. If you partake in this type of survey, we encourage you to use it as an opportunity to share how Osaic adds value to your business, fostering confidence from both your clients and prospects.
